Arliss Rae Douglass

Arliss Rae Douglass, 85, of Stillwater, Oklahoma passed away at Stillwater Medical Center on Tuesday, September 21, 2021, of pneumonia related complications. Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater has been entrusted with her final care. Services are planned for Friday, September 24, 2021, at Crosspointe Church at 10:30 AM with Mike King officiating. A private burial will take place at Rochester Cemetery in Topeka, KS.
Arliss was born on May 23, 1936, to Everett and Virgie Estabrook Schnacker in Kearney, Nebraska. She grew up on the family farm near Topeka, Kansas and graduated from Silver Lake High School with the class of 1954. She married Franklin Eugene Douglass on May 28, 1955. To this union two daughters and three sons were born.
Arliss was an avid quilter and she loved square dancing and playing the accordion. She worked at St. Francis in Manhattan, KS as a cook and at Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 6 years. Arliss loved KFC chicken and McDonald’s and their crunchy biscuits. She is now with her hunny.
She is survived by her children Yvonne Robinson of Mesa, AZ, Jeannean Wolf of Wichita, KS, Franklin Eugene Douglass, Jr., and his wife Joann of Stillwater, OK, Terry Douglass and his wife Darci of Perry, OK, Timothy Douglass and his husband Jeff of Chesapeake, VA. And one sibling, Darold Schnacker and his wife Cathy of Meriden, KS.
She is also survived by grandchildren Ryan (Niki) Wolf of Wichita, KS, Becky Imgarten (Steven) of Stillwater, OK, and Shauna Thomas of Rose Hill, KS. Anthony Douglass, Christina Douglass, Sarah Douglass and Jonathan Douglass of Perry, OK, and Seth Slocum and Hunter Slocum of Virginia. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren Aiden Thomas, Kaden Thomas, Rocco Wolf and Luca Wolf.
She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin Eugene Douglass who died July 24, 2002, and her parents Everett and Virgie Estabrook Schnacker.
