Barbara Kay Delaney left this earth in the arms of her Lord and Savior with family by her side, surrounded with love on Friday, September 4, 2026. Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 10, 2026, at Dighton Marler Funeral Home from 10am to 8pm with family greeting guests from 6-8pm. Funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Nazarene Church in Perry. Interment will follow at Grace Hill Cemetery.
Barbara was born on December 14, 1949, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Elmer and Aline (Cook) Radford. She was raised in Ponca City and Stillwater, OK attending school in both places. Barbara married Everett L. Delaney in 1967, to this union were born daughters Marci, Tracie and son Mark. Barbara and Jack R. Delaney shared 36 years of love and adventure together, marrying in 1984. Barbara loved her family fiercely and could always be found spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Hunting, fishing and camping were favorite activities she enjoyed with family. She loved to take the children on nature walks. Barbara was quite the amateur photographer, accumulating a large collection of photos. Barbara was an avid crafter and loved sewing clothing for her children and grandchildren. She attended both St. Luke’s Church of the Nazarene in Ponca City and Perry Church of the Nazarene where she was an active member, leading Sunday School, VBS, WOW Bible Study Groups, serving on the Church Board and faithfully supporting her church in any way possible until her health declined. Barbara helped bring many souls of all ages to the Lord.
Barbara worked in a variety of areas; however, her favorite and most fulfilling position was as the secretary for St. Luke's Church of the Nazarene in Ponca City. She assisted three pastors during her employment. She retired due to health.
Barbara is survived by daughter Marci Delaney Bowman, son-in-law John Bowman, son Mark Delaney and son-in-law Scott Klingaman (Tracie). She was a proud grandmother to Amanda Bowman, Jon (J.R.) Bowman, Alecia Kaye Bowman, Brittaney Ward, John L.R. Davis (Markyshia), Brendan Klingaman (Hannah), Mark Aaron Delaney Champlin, Abby Keltner and Cody Delaney. Barbara (MeMe) treasured her great-grandchildren Kaylee Riddle, Isabella Cooksey, Faith Ward, Aiva Cooksey, Maddie Champlin, Ryder Davis, Rhett Ward, Rowen Kaye Kirby, Landon Pruett, Kysen Champlin and Tatum Wardlow. Also surviving Barbara are brother and sister-in-laws Thelma Radford, Walter and Carolyn Delaney and Buddy and Molly Delaney as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be missed by her beloved side-kicks Gator, JLo and Cookie.
Preceding Barbara in death are her husband Jack R. Delaney, daughter Tracie L. Delaney Klingaman, grandson Scott “Scotty” Riddle Jr, parents Elmer and Aline Radford, brothers Jerry Radford (Thelma) and Mike Radford (Linda), sister Ruth Ann Radford, grandparents Thomas H. Radford, Mary (Bowers) Radford, David A. “John” Cook, Emma A. (Stoneburner) Cook and her fur babies Missy, Oscar, and Jenny Dale. Pallbearers are John Bowman in memory of Scotty Riddle, Mark Aaron Delaney Champlin, John L.R. Davis, Jon (J.R.) Bowman, Cody Delaney and Brendan Klingaman.
