Barry Evan Lutz

Barry Evan Lutz, age 62, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed peacefully away to be with the Lord on January 28, 2026. Barry was the son of John Lutz and Nelda Lutz Kirby. He grew up in Bentonville, Arkansas, where he attended grade school. He spent three years of high school in Kifisia, Greece, and later graduated from Bentonville High School. Barry attended Pittsburg State University in Kansas before joining the United States Army, where he proudly served for six years, primarily in Germany. Following his military service, Barry worked various jobs in Arkansas and Oklahoma. For the past nine years, he was employed by North Central Construction Co. in Stillwater. Barry was a quiet, kind, and thoughtful man with a gentle sense of humor, at his best among a small circle of family and friends. He loved fishing, motorcycles, western movies, and watching the History Channel. He also enjoyed a good T-bone steak with a baked potato. Above all, Barry loved his family—especially his son, Lexx Lutz, and his stepdaughters, Ashley Marinho and Whitney Cox. Barry is survived by his mother, Nelda Lutz Kirby; his stepdaughters, Ashley Marinho and Whitney Cox; his brothers, Corey Lutz (Donna), Louis Lutz, and Todd Lutz (Amy); his nieces and nephews, Matthew Lutz, Erica Bland, Dane Lutz, Sean Lutz, Graci Lutz, Bentley Lutz, Zack Jedele, and Jordan Smith; his uncle, Kelly Wolff (Kim); and his partner, Debbie Harrod. He was preceded in death by his son, Lexx Lutz, and his father, John Lutz. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., at Dighton–Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N. Washington St., Stillwater, Oklahoma. The service will be officiated by Pastor Charla Gwartney.
