Beverley Jean Watters

Beverley Jean Watters was born on October 18th, 1950 to Arrie Jackson and Iva Jean (Moody) Reich in Tulare, California. The family moved to Wewoka, Oklahoma in 1967. Beverley graduated high school in Wewoka in 1968. She was united in marriage to Derrell G. Watters on July 12th, 1968 in Wewoka, Oklahoma. The couple then moved to Morrison, Oklahoma where they have lived since 1976.
Beverley is remembered as being a very selfless woman who would do anything she could to help others. She loved writing poetry and had a talent for doing so. She was a devoted Christian woman and was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Morrison. She enjoyed gardening and spending time outdoors. She especially liked being in and around the water and loved going to the lake. She was a good cook and also enjoyed going antique shopping. She was a very tidy lady who loved cleaning her home. Beverley loved spending time with her family and was present at all school and sporting events that her family was a part of. She enjoyed being with her grandchildren and was a very loving wife and mother. She is described as being one of the most generous and giving individuals that anyone knew and will be deeply missed by all.
Beverley passed away at her home in Morrison on Thursday, October 5th, 2006. She was 55 years of age. She is survived by her father, Arrie Reich and wife Norma of Sasakawa, Oklahoma; husband, Derrell Watters of the home; three children, Regina Michelle Hilger and husband Johnny of Sand Springs, Oklahoma, Terri Daniece Treat and husband Bradley of Morrison, OK, Michael Wesley Watters and wife Amy of Masham, OK; five grandchildren, Heath and Hunter Hilger, Macy Treat, Skylar and Nathan Watters; one brother, Avery Reich; one sister, Melinda Edwards; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and a host of friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Iva Reich; one sister, Violet Ross and one daughter, Tina Renay Watters.
Services for Beverley Watters will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 9th, 2006 at the First Baptist Church of Morrison. Interment will be at 4:00 p.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, Oklahoma. Pastor Phillip Mullins will be officiating. Visitation will be held at Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home on Friday from 8:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. The family has entrusted Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home with the arrangements.
