Bob Lee Cheatham passed into the Lord’s loving arms May 4, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.
Bob, 94, passed peacefully at his home in Perkins, OK
Bob was born on August 16, 1929 with his twin brother Bill to Charles Cheatham and Icy (Cawley) Cheatham in Perkins, OK.
Mr. Cheatham was a member of the Perkins First Christian Church.
Bob attended Vinco, OK school.
At age 15, Bob and Bill drove a gas tanker truck for Frank Peyton Oil Company.
At age 17, Bob enlisted in the Marine Corps. He proudly served his country from November 9, 1946 until November 13, 1949.

Mr. Cheatham was a Platoon Gunner Sargent, Mortar Platoon.
He served in the China Rescue, and was stationed in Alaska.
Mr. Cheatham is a Classified WWII Veteran.
After his service in the USMC, Bob was a door to door milk man. Bob also drove a milk delivery truck to many businesses and schools in Stillwater.
Bob was a supervisor at the Payne County Creamery, Gold Spot Dairy, and Borden’s Milk for 18 years.
Mr. Cheatham worked as a truck driver for Evan’s and Troop in Stillwater.
Bob worked at National Standard then was employed with Moore Business Forms as a supervisor in the Quality Control Department, until his retirement.
Bob was known area wide for his Historic Mud Flats at his property in Perkins, OK.
Bob loved to golf, bowl, shoot his guns and rifles, fish, he was an avid OSU sports fan, and he grew a beautiful garden. He got a hole in one in the late 1960’s, and he most always bowled a perfect 300 game.
 
Bob Lee Cheatham and Loretta Mae Holloway were united in marriage February 27th, 1950. To this union two daughters were born, Edee and Elane. They made their home in Stillwater, OK.
Bob and Loretta were married 20 years.
 
Bob married Sharon Moffat in 1973. To this union one daughter was born, Amy. Phillip Moffat is Bob’s step-son, who he loved very much.
Bob and Sharon were married until her passing, on February 2, 2004.
