Cara Diane Crane, of Stillwater, Oklahoma, passed away on September 12, 2026, in Stillwater at the age of 49. She was born on October 25, 1976, in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Gene and Sherry Crane.

Cara graduated from Yukon High School in 1995 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in business management from Oklahoma State University in 2000. She worked for several years as a management analyst for the USDA as well as giving generously of her time and leadership in service as President/Treasurer of the Tri Delta Sorority Housing Corporation.

She will be remembered as a fun, loving, kind, and generous person whose presence brought warmth to those around her. Cara enjoyed fishing, reading, restoring antiques, and anything related to OSU athletics. She especially loved fishing with her family and was always proud to say she had caught the biggest fish, a memory that will continue to bring smiles to those who knew and loved her.

Cara is survived by her parents, Gene and Sherry (Russell) Crane; her brother Derek Crane and his wife, April, of Magnolia, Texas; and her nieces, Sydney Crane and Reena Crane, both of Magnolia, Texas. She is also survived by her uncles and aunts, Mike and Reta Crane, Billie and Doug LeForce, Carol Allen, John and Pam Russell, Denise Hunt, Becky and Virgil Beckner, LeAnn Jones, Bill and Sue Russell, and Phillip and Mary Russell; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by four uncles, Jim Allen, Bill Vassar, Lynn Hunt, and Wayne Jones.

A Celebration of Life will be held on September 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater, 5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, Oklahoma. A private family interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. at McGuire Cemetery, N3130 Road, Lucien, Oklahoma. Following the interment, the family will gather at the Lucien Faith Church, 317 3rd St, Lucien, Oklahoma, for further remembrance and celebration, with all welcome.

Cara Diane Crane will be remembered with love for her generous spirit, her devotion to family, and the joy she found in the simple pleasures of life. Her memory will remain a lasting blessing to all who knew her.
