Charlotte Ann Costa, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 14, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, at the age of 89. Born on October 5, 1936, in Oklahoma City, to Ernest and Nancy Loft, she lived a life full of love, devotion, and cherished memories.
Charlotte graduated from Northeast High School in 1954, after which she attended Hill's Business University, laying a foundation for her many pursuits. She was married to the love of her life, Victor Costa, on May 18, 1957, in Oklahoma City. Their partnership was one of deep commitment and unwavering love, as they navigated life together, relocating multiple times for Victor's career.
In her role as a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, Charlotte prioritized her family above all else. She is survived by her children, Stacie Costa, Vicki Branstetter and husband Roy, and Steven Costa and wife Kaili. Her legacy continues through her grandchildren: Krista, Lindsey, Melissa and husband Richard, Jessica and husband Kyle, Jacob and wife Logan, Michael, Joshua, Mandy and husband Chris, Becca and husband Layne, Nathan and wife Ayries, Zach, and Emma, along with eight great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She is in heaven reuniting with her husband Victor, her parents, Ernest and Nancy Loft, her sister Norma McCallister, and host of other family and friends.
Charlotte had a passion for writing and enjoyed crafting short stories, always nurturing her creative spirit. She found great joy in the Christmas season, reveling in the traditions of gift-giving and baking, illuminating the lives of those around her with warmth and joy. Her faith was a cornerstone of her life; Jesus was her savior, and she walked steadfastly in her beliefs.
Charlotte will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A visitation will be held on December 22, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home, located at 5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, OK 74075. A Celebration of Life will take place on December 23, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Countryside Baptist Church, 2124 South Western Road, Stillwater, OK 74074, followed by interment at Memorial Park Cemetery-Edmond at 3:00 PM, located at 13313 North Kelley Avenue, Oklahoma City, OK 73131.
Charlotte leaves behind a profound legacy of love and faith that will forever remain in the hearts of her family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Jacob Branstetter, Kyle Schumann, Michael Costa, Josh Costa, Nathan Costa and Cris Chen.
