Cheryl Ann LaFave

Cheryl Ann LaFave, passed away on September 13, 2026, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was born on May 20, 1951, and will be remembered as a loving and generous woman whose greatest joy was her family.

Cheryl delighted in spoiling her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and she expressed her love in countless thoughtful ways. She loved sewing for her family, filling her home with warmth and beauty, and decorating for the holidays with special care. She was also a fabulous cook, creating meals and memories that brought those she loved together. Always willing to help those in need, Cheryl lived with a giving spirit that touched the lives of many.

Her family was at the center of her life. She is survived by her husband, Jerry LaFave; her daughter Leslie Smith and spouse, Ron Smith, of Willow, Oklahoma; and her daughter Cheryl Lackey of Palestine, Texas. She is also survived by her sibling, Linda Chambers of Snow Shoe, Pennsylvania. Cheryl’s love continues through her grandchildren, Zachary Lackey and spouse Mallory Sutton, Kalyn Smith, Ryan Lackey and spouse Jessi Lackey, and Emily Watson and spouse Sam Watson, as well as her great-grandchildren, Ezra Lackey, Ramona Lackey, and Parker Watson. She leaves behind a family circle blessed by her care, her kindness, and the many traditions she made so meaningful.

A funeral service will be held on September 17, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, Oklahoma 74075.

Cheryl will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered for the comfort she gave, the home she created, and the enduring love she shared with her family.
