Daniel Harold Mustard, a loving husband, father, and friend, was born on December 17, 1939, in Peoria, Illinois to Ralph and Maxine (Woodley) Mustard, and passed away peacefully on July 4, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, surrounded by his devoted wife and family. He lived a life characterized by kindness, gentleness, and deep faith, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Daniel’s journey began in Peoria, where he graduated from Peoria Manuel High School in 1958. Shortly thereafter, he served as an Airman in the United States Air Force from 1958 to 1959, embodying the spirit of dedication and service. Upon returning from military service, he embarked on a career that would define much of his life. Daniel worked at OSF St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, Illinois for several years before finding his career-long position with Caterpillar manufacturing, where he worked diligently for 30 years before retirement. A man of strong faith, Daniel was actively involved with his church family, always helping out where needed and fostering connections within his community. He drew strength and comfort from his beliefs, which shaped his relationships and interactions with those around him. Family was paramount in Daniel’s life; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, creating a wealth of memories that will be treasured forever.

On March 20, 2011, Daniel married Maxine Charles in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Their union was a testament to love and companionship that flourished through the years. Daniel is survived by his beloved wife, Maxine Mustard; his son, James Daniel Mustard of Mississippi; his daughter, Cynthia Heaton (Ken) of Iowa; his son, Karl Mustard (Debbie) of Illinois; and his daughter, Dannelle Zeller (Will) of Illinois.  9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces; and 2 nephews; as well as his brother James Ralph Mustard (Nancy), sister Cheryl McBride (Garry).
