Danny Lee Stephens

Danny Lee Stephens passed away Friday, April 9, 2021 at his home in Perry. He was 69. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Perry.
Danny Lee Stephens was born May 15, 1951 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Emril Ray Stephens and Myree (Rhines) Stephens. Danny grew up in the small town of Avent, Oklahoma.
When Danny was 17 years old he moved to Perry, Oklahoma where he spent the rest of his years.
Danny was a jack of all trades. He worked in construction, drove a semi-truck and worked for the City of Perry. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, listening to music, playing Solitaire, Westerns and watching OU football games with his best friend, Larry. Danny loved all things outside, including fishing and riding around and goofin' off.
He was a great friend, and an awesome father and Papa. Danny will be remembered by those closest to him for being there, no matter what, no matter the time.
Danny was preceded in death by his father, Emril and Mother, Myree Stephens.
Danny is survived by his daughter, Hailey CeAnn Walton, Perry, OK; granddaughters, Anna Myree Egerer and Emma-Sue Grace Stowers, Perry, OK; brothers, Tommy Stephens, of Perry, OK and Kenny Stephens and his wife Wilma, of Hominy, OK; and his cousins, Charlotte Jacobs, Clydene Williams and her husband Richard, and Susan Schovanec and her husband Jim, all of Perry, OK.
A Celebration of Danny’s life will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, at 1 p.m. at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home.
