Donna was a woman who lived many lifetimes in her years, she traveled all across the nation and made the most important trip of her life when she traveled to Romania to adopt a sweet but wild 19-month-old Daniel. She would always talk about how she just knew he was meant to be her son from the first time she seen a picture of him holding a stuffed Hereford cow. She spent the remainder of her life loving and doting upon him, he was her life’s passion and reason. She retired a few years back and took up the art of gardening and reading full-time, she had one of the most beautiful gardens on her street in Stillwater and read more than 50 books a year easily.
From Daniel:
You were the first person to ever love me unconditionally, not a day will go by where I will not be grateful for adopting me and alongside Dad, giving me the best life. I remember a vibrant and beautiful woman, so full of life, so full of love, my mother’s core motivating force was Love, and it was her love that has had a profound impact on the essence of who I am. I remember being held, in tears, as her warm embrace and soothing voice made me feel safe time and time again. To my mom, thank you for the beautiful time that you were able to give me, for supporting me and holding me up throughout my highest highs and my lowest lows. Thank you for all the years you could be there for me, for all the years loving me unconditionally, for nurturing me into the person I am today. My mother lives on in my heart. I love you, yesterday, today and all my tomorrows.
Donna was loved by many family and friends; she will be missed dearly each and every day.
