Mr. Elva Winston Moody passed away Thursday March 29, 2007 at the age of 70 years at his home in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Elva was born June 6, 1936 in Stillwater, Oklahoma to Cliford and Alta Ventris Moody. Elva retired from the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier. He served his country faithfully in the United States Navy and served for 2 years. Elva took Miss Barbara Ann Rider as his bride on March 24,1956 in Pawnee, Ok. From this union 6 children were born. Elva was a member of the Moose Lodge. He loved to golf, play pool, read and was known as a jokester to all his family and friends. Although Elva is no longer with us, his memory and legacy will be kept alive through the family and friends he leaves behind which include: His wife of 51 years Barbara Ann of the home 4 Sons: Jeff and Cheryl Moody of Stillwater, Bobby Moody of Arizona, Mike and Linda Moody of Las Vegas, NV, Marny and Jennifer Moody of Perkins, Ok., 2 Daughters: Kim and Byron Malcolm of Edmond, Ok. and Terri and Mike Dean of Norman, Ok., 12 grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren and a host of longtime friends and neighbors. Graveside services will be held 1:00 PM Monday April 2, 2007 at Fairlawn Cemetery with Pastor Paul Anderson officiating. Services are under the direction of Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home of Stillwater, Ok. In Lieu of flowers please send donations to Faith Hospice of Stillwater, Oklahoma.
