Faye Viola Golliver

Funeral services for Faye Viola Golliver, age 87, of Perry, OK are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 5, 2008 at the Calvary Baptist Church with Bro. Roger Dunn officiating. Interment will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends 6pm-8pm Wednesday, June 3, 2008 at the funeral home. Mrs. Golliver was born on July 9, 1920 to James Garfield and Alice (DeNeef) Culbertson in Hayward, OK. She grew up and attended school in Hayward, OK. She loved playing basketball her 8th thru 12 grade years. Mrs. Golliver married William Lowell Golliver on December 29, 1940 in Hayward, OK. In 1956-1957 after her husband"s death in 1955 she became a tag agent in Perry, OK and in 1958-1963 she was secretary of the Superintendant at the Perry Public Schools. She attended Central State College graduating in 1965 with a Bachelor of Education. She was a teacher in Arizona and California for 23 years, retiring in 1988. Mrs. Golliver was a member of the First Christian Church in Edmond. Her hobbies included; yardwork, arts and crafts, nursing home devotions, silk flowers, chalk talk at various churchs, collecting spoons, cups and plates from all 50 states and traveling in her R.V. The highlights of her life were her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and friends. Mrs. Golliver passed from this life to be with her Lord and Savior on June 2, 2008 at the Green Valley Nursing Home. She is survived by: 1 Son: Robert Golliver and wife Linda of San Antonio, TX 1 Daughter: Dottie Nemec and husband Mike of Perry, OK 1 Brother: Jim Culbertson and wife Hazel of McHenry, IL 2 Sisters: Jean Golliver of Enid, OK Lois McDonough of Owasso, OK 6 Grandchildren; Kelley Larkin, Beth Lindsey, Ryan Golliver, Julie Woods, Carrie Boelter, Richard Wall 7 Great-Grandchildren: Rachel and Matthew Larkin, Adam and Samuel Lindsey, Kaitlyn and Jackson Boelter and Carter Woods Special Friends: Janet Needham of Oklahoma City, OK, Maxine Endicott and Ruby Gleason of Perry, OK She was preceded in death by her Parents; Garfield and Alice Culbertson, Husband; William L.
