Frances Louise Longan passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 surrounded by family in Stillwater, OK. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Mass of Christian burial will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel with Father Stuart Crevcoure officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery located east of Coyle. A Rosary will be held on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 6 p.m. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel.
Frances (Franny) Louise Longan was born on August 19, 1932 in Mora, New Mexico. At the age of 14, she moved to Burbank, CA, where she graduated from Burroughs High School in 1948. Frances was married to Charles G. Cervantes in 1949 in Moorpark, CA. She later married Charles C. Longan, of Stillwater, Oklahoma on August 10, 1958 in Burbank, CA. She resided in Southern California until moving to Stillwater in 1975. She was a longtime member of the Elks in both Reseda, California and Stillwater, OK, as well as the Eagles Auxiliary of Stillwater, OK. Franny loved to travel; she was an avid reader, moviegoer, and enjoyed planning and attending family events and holiday gatherings. Frances loved spending time with all her family and friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Longan and is survived by her two children, Richard Cervantes and his wife Clarissa of Marina del Rey, CA, and Cindy Keig of Stillwater, OK. She has four grandchildren, Danielle Keig Morris and her husband Jeff Morris, Chelsea Keig and Ricky Holba, and Ryan Farquhar Keig, all of Stillwater. She has four great-grandchildren, Brinley Jade Holba, Eli Daniel Morris, Fatima Morris, and Presley Farquhar.
