Gavyn Lloyd Goode

Gavyn Lloyd Goode, affectionately known to many by his cherished nicknames—Gavster, Gavitron, Uncle Boots, and Uncle Shower Shoe—passed away on August 2, 2026, in Kileen, Texas. He was born on March 24, 2003, in Altus, Oklahoma, and during his 23 years, Gavyn’s warmth, humor, and vibrant presence left a lasting imprint on the lives of all who knew him.

Gavyn was the beloved son of Wende Boles and Michael Goode. He is survived by a large and deeply connected family who held him close at every stage of his life. His mother, Wende and David Boles, and father, Michael Goode, continue to honor his memory. Also cherishing Gavyn are his siblings, Haleigh, Chris (& wife Nish), Austin (& wife Skyla), Garrett (& wife Tiffany), Gage, Haylie and Meghan. His young nieces and nephews—Zeke, Za'Riyah, Jayvian, Raelani, Ayla, Ryker, and Lyle—knew him as a fun-loving and devoted uncle, always ready with a smile or an embrace. Gavyn’s grandmothers, Norma Boles and Bobbie Arnold, are among those deeply mourning his passing.

His life was marked by strong, enduring relationships—a constant source of both comfort and joy for himself and all around him. Gavyn’s infectious spirit left loving memories with everyone he called family, from immediate relatives to extended kin. Gavyn joined the United States Army and obtained the rank of Private 1st Class. He enjoyed cruising dirt roads, fishing, guns, rabbit hunting, playing video games and working on his truck and singing Karaoke.

Gavyn is also remembered by those who have preceded him in death, including grandfathers Bill Arnold, Rex Goode, and Kenny Boles, grandmothers Debby Corey and Billie Goode, and his sister-in-law Callie Cortez. Their memories remain tightly interwoven with Gavyn’s story, offering a legacy of love that carries on through those still here.

To allow friends and family to gather in remembrance and celebrate Gavyn’s life, services will be held at Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home, 5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, OK 74075. Visitation is scheduled for August 21, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM, with a special period for visitation with family from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM that evening. A Celebration of Life will follow on August 22, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM.

Though Gavyn’s time with us was far too brief, his legacy is one of joy, kindness, and profound connection. His memory will remain a guiding light for his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of sharing in his journey. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever honored.
