HARRY LEROY BALZER Funeral services for Harry Leroy Balzer, age 87, of Perry, Oklahoma are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Saturday, November 17, 2007 at the Perry Assembly of God Church with Rev. John C.Adams officiating. Interment will be in the Grace Hill Cemetery. Mr. Balzer was born on December 21, 1919 to Ernest and Dora (Franklin) Balzer in Enid, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended school in Billings later graduating in Enid in 1937. Mr. Balzer married Millie Haxton on February 14, 1941 in Pond Creek, Oklahoma and she preceded him in death in 1971. On October 9, 1972 he married Betty J. (Ewy) Shireman in Perry, Oklahoma. He was a carpenter by trade, later working for Ditch Witch for 10 years, retiring in 1984. His hobbies included playing dominoes, fishing, camping, gardening and playing cards. Mr. Balzer was active in the Perry Senior Citizens and was a former member of the Perry Elks Lodge and Camping Club. Mr. Balzer passed from this life on November 14, 2007 at the Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City, OK. He is survived by: Wife: Betty of the home 2 Sons: Doyle Balzer of Perry, OK Tom Shireman and wife Mary of Perry, OK 5 Daughters: Marilyn Nichols and husband Fred of Perry, OK Linda Oberholzer and husband Robert of Perry, OK Marilyn Ewy and husband Jim of Perry, OK Debbie Cardin and husband Ted of Perry, OK Karen Martinez and husband Bob of Perry, OK 15 Grandchildren and 21 Great-Grandchildren.
