Hayden McGwire Jones, a cherished son, brother, and grandson, was born on February 4, 2003, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. He tragically passed away on January 26, 2026, in Great Lakes, Illinois. At the young age of 22, Hayden had already made a significant mark on the world around him, having joined the United States Navy and proudly serving as a Navy Seaman. Hayden was a fine young man who honored his country and Naval Service.He was a leader demonstrated by his volunteering as Assistant Section Leader, Master-At-Arms and Yeoman.
Growing up in the Stillwater and Perkins area, Hayden was known for his vibrant spirit and zest for life. He had a profound love for video games, where he often formed lasting friendships. He enjoyed the camaraderie of bowling nights, the thrill of airsoft competitions, and the joy of dancing. His passion for cars added to his adventurous nature, as he delighted in the freedom that driving brought him. Additionally, he found enjoyment in quieter moments spent with a cold beer in hand, relishing time with friends and family.
Hayden is survived by his parents, Michelle Mauk, Doug Mauk and Dustin Jones. He will be deeply missed by his siblings, Skylar Mauk and Veronica Mauk, who shared countless cherished memories with him. He is also survived by his grandfather Larry Jones. Hayden's grandmother, Danna Brown, will carry forward his legacy in her heart, remembering the laughter and light he brought into their lives.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Mike Brown, and grandmother, Goldie Jones, both of whom awaited him with open arms.
Though his time with us was far too brief, Hayden McGwire Jones leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter that will be forever treasured by those who knew him. His memory will continue to shine bright in the hearts of his family and friends.
