Hugh H Hesser

Hugh H. Doc Hesser, 78, of Glencoe, Oklahoma passed away on Monday, November 21, 2016 at St. Johns Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Arrangements are under the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater. Graveside service will be held on Monday, December 5 at 10:30am at Glencoe IOOF Cemetery. A luncheon will be served following the service at Glencoe Senior Citizen Center.
Hugh was born on September 30, 1938 to William and Ethel (Mitchell) Hesser in Glencoe, Oklahoma. He grew up and attended Glencoe Schools. Hugh married his love of his life, Barbara on September 18, 1957 in Arkansas. They celebrated 53 years together before her passing in 2010.
Hugh enjoyed camping, fishing, and cheering on his OU team. Most of all he enjoyed getting to spend time with his family.
Hugh is survived by his two daughters, Tammy Pappan and husband, Darrell of Pawnee, Oklahoma, Denell Edwards and husband, Stephen of Bella Vista, Arkansas; two sister, Callie Schreter and her husband, C.J. of Midwest City, Oklahoma, Genieve Snyder of Stillwater, Oklahoma; one brother, Billy Hesser of Cushing, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Lea Smith and husband, Joe of Sapulpa, Oklahoma, Deanna Edwards of Longmont, Colorado, Tanya Pool and husband, Scott of Pawnee, Oklahoma, William Pappan and wife, Lacey of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and six great grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Ethel (Mitchell) Hesser; wife, Barbara Hesser; two sister, Millie Gilchrist and Ruby McKaughn; and two brothers, Fred and Max Hesser.
