Jeffrey Pitt Naple, 54, of Stillwater passed from this life on Sept 20, 2015 with his family at his side. Services celebrating Jeffs unique life will be held at 10:30am on Thursday, September 24th at Sunnybrook Christian Church in Stillwater.
Jeffrey Thomas Naple was born on May 2, 1961 in Pittsburgh, PA to Thomas and Stella (Cuscino) Naple. He grew up in a suburb of Pittsburgh graduating from Bethel Park High School. Following his high school graduation he studied Architecture at Miami Dade Community College, Construction Management and Sports Management at Oklahoma State University. In 1986 he married his high school sweetheart Bonnie Dadisman.
In 1988, he began his career as the Video Coordinator for Oklahoma State University Athletics. During his 25+ years as video coordinator, Pitt served the football program from Jimmy Johnson to Mike Gundy. In addition, he also served the OSU basketball program under Eddie Sutton and Sean Sutton and the Cowboy baseball program under Gary Ward and Tom Holliday
During his tenure, Pitt began as a one-man operation. He oversaw the successful transitions from black and white film, to Beta, to VHS, and finally to digital as well as the expansion to multiple employees. Pitt opened many doors for those who worked under and with him through his connections.
While he was a very simple and humble man, Jeff insisted anything he was connected to be done correctly. His incredible knowledge and no-nonsense attitude combined with his prickly and ornery demeanor made Pitt an effective motivator. He had a unique ability to be brutally honest without offending those who knew him. You never had to wonder where you stood with Jeff, as he wasnt afraid to offer his insight or opinion. He was not impressed by titles and always made an effort to treat each person with an equal amount of respect.
When Jeff wasnt in the office working, you would likely find him on the golf course. He truly loved the game and rarely missed a chance to join the old guys at Stillwater Golf and Country Club. He also enjoyed playing softball and supporting his favorite teams: the OSU Cowboys and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Those who knew him knew the cornerstone of his life was his love for his family. Jeff was a dedicated father and a loyal husband. He was tremendously proud of his son, Nick and always supported him in his endeavors. Jeff and Bonnie were married for 29 years.
Jeff was an amazing man who left an unmistakable mark on this world. He was a faithful husband, a protective father, a hard working employee, and a trusted friend who will truly be missed by all who knew him.
He was not a man of grand deeds, proudly staged, but a man of small deeds, rightly done.
Jeff was preceded in death by his Father Thomas Joseph Naple.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie Naple and son Nick Naple; his mother, Stella Naple of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania; his three siblings: Dave Naple, Barbara Dunn and husband Christopher, all of Bethel Park, Pennsylvania, Steven Naple and wife Amy of Moon Township, Pennsylvania; his nine nieces and nephews: Maria, Sarah, Gianna, Tessa, Emma, Madison, Grace, Abbey, and Jonathan. He is also survived by Bonnies parents, Gary and Brenda Dadisman and Bonnies two sisters: Deborah Brazell and husband Darrell, Kimberley Even and husband Cory.
