Jobyna June (Shreve) Fuller entered the world on November 29, 1929, in Oklahoma City, OK. On July 31, 2026, she stepped gently into the great cloud of witnesses, greeted by the Savior she loved so dearly. The daughter of Everett Lyle and Jessie Frances (Hall) Shreve, Jobyna was raised in a loving family and graduated from Capitol Hill High School. Jobyna found faith in Christ at an early age, and she brought Christ’s light into every relationship and endeavor.
Jobyna began her career as a bookkeeper for Chaffin Brothers Lumber, where her sharp intellect, analytical mind, and remarkable vocabulary were evident in the clarity and precision of her communication. Her gentle temperament and caring spirit endeared her to everyone she met.
On July 21, 1961, Jobyna married Samuel D. Fuller at Exchange Avenue Baptist Church in Oklahoma City. Together they made homes in Wichita, Kansas, and Fitzgerald, Georgia. After leaving the workforce, Jobyna brought the same strengths that made her an excellent bookkeeper into her home life, evident in her meticulous recordkeeping, journals, and the detailed indices she created for all her photo albums.
A devoted Christian, Jobyna faithfully served in church communities in Oklahoma, Kansas, and Georgia. She contributed her talents to children’s ministries, including Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, and was known for her skill as a seamstress, musician, cook, and craftswoman. Her service was always marked by warmth, humility, and steadfast commitment to her faith. Jobyna began playing the accordion in early childhood, and practiced faithfully until 2024 when declining physical health forced her to stop. She was generous in sharing her musical talents, and often played for the congregation in Georgia.
Jobyna deeply cherished her years living at Christian Villa, where she was embraced like family by the staff. In her final season, she received exceptional care from the loving second-floor team at Legacy Village Cottages and from Complete OK Hospice. Her family is profoundly grateful for the tender hearts and compassionate hands that accompanied her through the last phase of her earthly journey.
She was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Fuller, parents Everett and Jessie Shreve, siblings Phyllis Head, infant sister Nancy, Edward Shreve, and Kenneth Shreve. Those who carry her memory forward include Brenda and Mark Rolls and daughters Edyn and Evan; Kregg Danuser and family; Karyn Maurer and family; Paula Pratcher and family; Jessica Rice and family; Debra Lair; Linda Shreve; and many loving members of her church family.
Services for Jobyna will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 at 10AM, with Reverand John Dickey officiating. Jobyna's final resting place will be in Fitzgerald, GA, next to her beloved husband.
