Joseph Paul Gillinger

Joseph Paul Gillinger, born on January 5, 1964, in Cincinnati, Ohio, passed away peacefully on December 2, 2025, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Joe dedicated a significant part of his life to serving his country as a communication specialist in the Army, achieving the rank of E5-SGT during his service in Georgia, North Carolina, and Germany. His commitment to duty and country exemplified the values he held dear throughout his life.

A man of many talents, Joe had a passion for flying drones and an extraordinary capability for construction, often utilizing his hands to build anything imaginable. He was known for his kindness, always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Joe cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will carry with them. A true music lover, he often shared his gift of song, frequently heard singing and even teaching his daughter Amanda to play guitar.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife, Casandra Gillinger; his children, Amanda Kelly and Joseph Gillinger II; and his siblings, Russell, Grace, and Maxine. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Jasper Reid Gillinger, Johnathan Dean, Alexis Haven Dunagun, and William Leo Kelly VI.

Joe was predeceased by his son, who was born on July 31, 1992, and passed away on August 1, 1992. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Charles Arnold Gillinger Sr. and Nancy Linda Catherine Gillinger, and his brother, Charles.

Visitation and funeral services will be held on December 11, 2025, at Stillwater - Dighton Marler Funeral Home, located at 5106 N Washington St, Stillwater, Oklahoma. Visitation will begin at 12:00 PM, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. Joe will be laid to rest at Morrison Cemetery starting at 3:00 PM.
