Johnie George Kroll

Johnie George Kroll, rural Perry, passed away Friday, November 10, 2023, at the Garland Road Nursing Home in Enid, Oklahoma. He was 94 years old.

His funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, November 17, 2023, at Christ Lutheran Church in Perry. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery in Enid at 3 p.m. Rev. John Wackler will officiate. Visitation will be 9AM to 8PM Thursday, November 16, 2023, at the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to the care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Perry.

Johnie Kroll was born August 27, 1929, in Garber, Oklahoma, the son of Geoge Kroll and Marie Goedeke Kroll. He grew up in Garber and graduated from Garber High School in the late 1940s, then continued his education with some college. He was a farmer/rancher and raised cattle and hay. He loved competing in tractor pulls and shows and boasts several trophies from his winnings. He had a collection of a few antique tractors and collected several model tractors. He loved his children and grandchildren and enjoyed his dog, Buster. He has been a member of the Christ Lutheran Church of Perry since the early 1960s.

He is survived by one son: Keith of Coweta, Oklahoma; six grandchildren: Justin Kroll, Marla Kay Campbell and her husband Greg, Salina Kroll, Mark Wagner and his wife Kandie, Wade Wagner and his wife Ashley and Amy Nevius and her husband Matt; eight grandchildren; one sister, Luella Stacy of Blackwell, Oklahoma; son-in-law, Marvin Wagner; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Joan Sharkey Kroll; daughter, Arline Wagner; son, Clayton Kroll; sister Lucille Stower; and brothers, Dean Kroll and Gene Kroll.
