Johnny Edward Lyons, age 60 of Stillwater, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2006 at the Stillwater Medical Center. Johnny was born on August 6, 1946 in Yale, Oklahoma to Jess and Anna L. (Lindburg) Lyons. He graduated from Pawnee High School, class of 1965. Johnny was a Veteran of the U. S. Army, serving during the Vietnam Era. He married Kathie Sneed on September 24, 1984 in Masham, Oklahoma. Johnny worked as a carpenter and roofer for many years, working for the State of Oklahoma and later Genes Roofing in Perry. He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the D.A.V. in Stillwater. Johnny enjoyed hunting coons and deer. He liked to have a productive garden of vegetables and fruits. Enjoying the fruits of his labor with family and friends. Johnny loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Johnny is survived by his wife Kathie of the home, son Johnny Jr. and fiance Teri Manter of Perry, daughter Brandie Lyons of Pawnee, step-son Kevin Duncan and wife Trisha of Sauk Centre, MN., brother Gary Lyons and wife Carol of Pawnee, 6 grandchildren Hannah and Haley, Tristen and Taylor, Chelsea and Caitlyn.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, brother Jess Jr.
Funeral services will be held 2: 00 p.m., Monday at the Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Marvin Warren will officiate. Interment will follow at the Fairlawn Cemetery, Stillwater. Arrangements are entrusted to Palmer Marler Carberry Funeral Home, Stillwater, Ok.
