Josie was born on February 7, 1922 to John Dailey and Josephine Dailey in Marcy, New York. She grew up around the upstate New York area, and received her diploma from Rome Free Academy. She spent much of her life working for the utility company as a word processor and technical writer, and was proud to be a part of Circuit Riders retirement group in Tulsa. She was also a member of St. Johns University Parish and the Rebekahs Olive Branch #37, as well as being a Stephens Minister. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, reading, and traveling. She enjoyed arts and crafts especially around Christmas. Josie also had a penchant for games and cards, and would almost never miss Wheel of Fortune. She loved baseball, especially following her New York Yankees. She also had a fondness for her cats. However her favorite pastime was spending time with her family.
Josie is survived by her daughters, Joanne Murer of Stillwater and Janice Jillson of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; and son in law Non as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Josie was preceded in death by two children, Eileen Murer, and James Murer; and four brothers John, David, Jim, and Donald Dailey as well as sister, Cecilia LaTurner.
Memorial contributions may be made in Josies honor to the American Heart Association, or Judith Karmen Hospice.
