Kathryn Suzanne Love, lovingly known as Kathy, was born on April 19, 1957, in Lansing, Michigan. She passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Kathy’s life was characterized by her profound commitment to her family, her passion for music, her deep faith, and her dedication to her community.
Kathy spent more than 25 years as the church pianist for First Baptist Stillwater, a role through which she expressed her deep faith in Christ and love for music. She took great joy in playing for the choir and ladies' ensemble, as well as for morning services, contributing to the spiritual life of her church. Beyond her church responsibilities, she volunteered her musical talents with local groups, including the Sangre Singers and OMEA Circle the State, further enriching the cultural fabric of her community.
In addition to her musical pursuits, Kathy found particular fulfillment in her role as a stay-at-home mother and wife. She cherished the quality time spent with her two sons, Brett Love and Owen Love, who have fond memories of their childhood under her nurturing care.
Kathy's passion for learning led her to graduate Magna Cum Laude with a B.S. degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Oklahoma State University. Her thirst for knowledge and education inspired those around her. She also found time to volunteer at St. Andrews Thrift shop for many years. A devoted participant in numerous Bible studies throughout Stillwater, Kathy cherished her friendships, often enjoying lunches or brunches with her dear friends.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ross Love, her sons Brett Love and wife Laura and Owen Love and wife Chelsea, her grandchildren, Ellen Love, Katherine Love, Caleb Love, Jack Love, Oliver Love, Archer Love, Everley Love, and Hudson Love, and her sister Carol Poole and her husband Jim and her sister-in-law Paula Love.
