Khris Mills

Khris Mills, a lifelong resident of Perry, Oklahoma, was born on June 18, 1963, in Perry to Richard and Dixie (Myers) Mills. He passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 3, 2025, at Stillwater Medical Center in Stillwater. He was 62 years old.

Khris dedicated over 20 years of his life working as the grounds keeper at Grace Hill Cemetery, where his commitment and attention to detail were evident every day. Alongside this, he held various small jobs throughout his life until health challenges began to affect his ability to work. A proud graduate of Perry High School in 1981, Khris carried with him the values of hard work and community service he learned during those formative years.

Khris was known for his loving and kind nature, coupled with a great sense of humor that brought joy not only to his family but also to friends and community members alike. He cherished spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured forever.

An avid sports enthusiast, Khris was particularly passionate about OU football and Cubs baseball. He found joy in playing pitch with anyone willing to join him and loved spending time outdoors hunting and fishing. His zest for life was infectious, and he inspired those around him to appreciate the simple pleasures.

Khris is survived by his son, Shane Mills (Miranda) of Perry; his daughter, Kasie Dunagan (Christopher) of Poland, ME; his sister-in-law, Christy Mills of Glencoe; along with his beloved grandchildren, Sheldon Dunagan (Andrea Alvarez), Addison Mills, Raiden Dunagan (Alex Stacey), Laikley Mills, Paydin Dunagan, Duane Mills, and Neveah Mills. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Jason Mills, Jennifer Mills, Shelbi Carpenter, Lyndsi Misener (Dylan), and Donavin Mills.

He is predeceased by his parents, Richard and Dixie Mills; his brothers, Kevin and Kelly Mills; his grandson, Duane Levi Mills; and his great-niece, Skylar Faye.

Khris’s life will be honored with a visitation with family on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dighton-Marler Funeral Home located at 203 Fir St, Perry, OK 73077. His spirit will live on through the many lives he touched and the memories created with those he loved.
