Lavilla Hilda Lache

Lavilla (Vi) Lache (Bruessel) died October 31, 2026 at the age of 86. To be reunited with her beloved husband Peter affectionately known as Alte, on his birthday.

Lavilla was born in Kewaskum, Wisconsin to Jacob and Bernetta Bruessel on February 27, 1940.She graduated from Kewaskum High School.

Lavilla met and fell in love with Peter, and they married in 1958.

They raised their children in West Bend, Wisconsin until moving to Stillwater, Oklahoma in 1988.

Peter and Lavilla have five children Dean (Brenda) Lache, Chris (Danny) Lache, Linda (Brent) Lache, Steve (Tami) Lache and Amy Parton.

Lavilla Cherished time spent with grandchildren, Sara Katzenberger, Stacy Neu, Eric Lache, Nicholas (Amelia) Nathan and Spencer Lache, David and Andrew Wierzbicki, and great grandchildren Parker and Paige Neu.

She also enjoyed her time working at the Alpha Delta Pi Sorority and made lasting friendships with the girls there.

She looked forward to trips to Wisconsin to visit family and friends, weekend getaways to Branson, Oklahoma State University wrestling, her beloved Packers and Brewers, along with many other sporting events.

The continued friendships and visits with Peters Motorcycle family also brought her joy.

Lavilla is survived by her sister Carol (Dennis) Weiss.

She is preceded in death by her parents Jacob and Bernetta Bruessel, brother Jacob Bruessel Jr, sisters Doris Bonlender, Janice Thill and grandson Eric Lache.

Her quick whit and humor will be missed by all who knew her. A special acknowledgement to Lavilla’s 70 plus year friendship with Joan Binder, they shared their joys and tears and were just a phone call away.
