Lee Roy Simpson

Lee Roy Simpson, 86, on Monday, Sept. 26th passed on to Heaven to be welcomed home by these family members who preceded him in death: His parents, Richard Burton Simpson and Corine Dalton Simpson; five siblings, Jack, J.D. Jake, Fred, Nellie Holzer, and Beatrice Hannah; his first wife, Helen Tinker Simpson, daughter, Betty Jo, son, Ronald; granddaughter, Kimberly Slavens; and great granddaughter Shalynn Strom.
Roy is survived by his wife Zella Flora Simpson; siblings, Violet Brown, Richard Buddy Simpson, and Velma Crouch; children, Randy Simpson, Robert Simpson, Richard Simpson, Marjie Robinson, Debbie Slavens, Mary Jane Simpson, and Linda McCloskey Long; grandchildren, Estee Robinson, Joshua Robinson, Kristen Slavens, Richard Simpson, Kari Slavens Harrill, Jason Simpson, Christine Simpson Werelus, Kelli Simpson, and Ronald Simpson, Jr; great grandchildren, Kaylynn, Nevaeh, Lexi Belle, Alex, Cory, and Landon; as well various nephews and nieces.
Roy was blessed with many friends, joy for life, and great health until his stroke.
Memorial Services will be held Friday, September 30th, at 1:00 P.M. at Palmer Marler Funeral Home (5106 N Washington) with Lonnie McKenzie officiating.
