Leo H Johnson, 63, of Stillwater passed into eternity on February 24, 2022 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Dighton-Marler Funeral Home of Stillwater.
Leo was born on December 6th, 1958 to Elnora and Leo Johnson Sr. in Brooklyn, New York. At the young age of 17 years Leo moved to Stillwater. He later met the love of his life and they were united in marriage on March 20, 1982 at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stillwater. He spent most of his working life employed at Oklahoma State University Dining Services as a baker for 42 years. Leo was known by many to be the man that would help anyone in a time of need and would give the shirt off his back. He was a true patriarch of his family and did everything he could to make sure his wife, children and grandchildren were always taken care of. He was a true friend to everyone he met and will be incredibly missed.
He is survived by his daughters Christy Johnson, Alyse Johnson, Nekia brown, and Kara Gibson all of Stillwater; one brother James Johnson of Virginia; grandchildren, Johnelle, Johnias, Hakeem, Lakeya and Hezakiah; he also leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and wife of 30 years, Almetrice Brown-Johnson.
Visitation will be March 3, 2022 from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM with the family greeting guests from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel, 5106 N. Washington, Stillwater, OK 74075. Funeral Services will be at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Stillwater on March 4, 2022 at 2:00 PM with cremation to follow.
