Madelyn Sue McCoy, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away peacefully on Saturday, May18, 2024, at her home in Cushing, Oklahoma. She was born on December23, 1950, in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Joseph Springer and Anna Mae (Bassett) Springer.
 
Madelyn was a devoted wife to her husband, Daniel Thomas McCoy for 54 wonderful years after they exchanged vows on April 11, 1970, in Pawnee. Together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and many cherished memories.
 
In her professional life, Madelyn found joy as a Walmart associate where she dedicated herself to her work. Outside of work, she had a passion for playing softball and enjoyed spending time at the casino with her beloved husband.
 
Madelyn will be greatly missed and forever remembered by her surviving family members. She leaves behind her loving husband, Daniel McCoy of the home; three children, Berry Wilson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Shiryl McCoy (Lee Butler, Jr.) of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Danny McCoy (Gina) of Grand Junction, Colorado; her brothers, Robert Springer (Margit) of Texas, and Galen Springer (Jo Dawn) of Fairfax, Oklahoma; and her sister, Rose Segura of Stillwater, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Brandon Butler, Heather McCoy, Melissa McCoy, Montana McCoy, Daniel McCoy, and Takoda McCoy; her faithful pet dog, Sampson “Samp”; two special nieces, Jacy Springer and Annie Lynn Rice; special nephew, Joseph Springer, III; and a host of friends.
 
Madelyn Sue McCoy's kindness, warmth, and zest for life touched all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have been part of her life's journey. May she rest in peace.
