Marianne Erika Trent

Marianne Trent, 91, passed peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 in Stillwater, OK.  Marianne was born in Nuremberg, Germany and was a WWII survivor.  She attended trade school in Nuremberg and had a successful career as a seamstress while living in Germany.  She met her husband, US soldier James Trent, while he was on leave in Germany in December 1957.  They were married August 16, 1958 in Hardesty, OK and moved to Hooker, OK in 1959.

Marianne was a cook in the Hooker, OK public school system for many years, and often spoke fondly of the children she served during her tenure there.   In her spare time, was an avid crocheter and enjoyed making blankets, hats, and scarves for community members in need.

Marianne is survived by two daughters, Patricia Mitchell and spouse Scott of Stillwater, OK and Susanne Short, Stillwater, OK.  She has one granddaughter, Nicole Tracy, and spouse Phil of Perkins, OK.

She was preceded in death by her husband James, her parents and beloved brother Karl and many other family members.
