Mary Ann Stroud

Mary Stroud, age 83, passed away on September 21, 2025, at Primrose Retirement Community of Stillwater, where she had lived since January of this year.

A memorial service will be held on October 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Dighton Marler Funeral Home in Stillwater. She will be laid to rest at Fletcher Cemetery in Fletcher, OK, at a later date.

Mary was born on February 26, 1942, in Fletcher, OK, to Daniel Francis and Mattie Coleen Hayes. She was the cherished only daughter among four children.

In 1959, Mary married Walter Stroud. The following year, they moved to Edmond, where they raised their two children. In 1980, they purchased Perry Printing and Office Supply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Dan and Coleen Hayes; her husband of 53 years, Walter; and her brothers, Danny and Lawrence Hayes.

Mary is survived by her two children: her daughter, Leigh Ann (Stroud) Loyd, and her husband, Andy, of Denver, CO; her son, Kyler Stroud; and two grandchildren, Meagan Loyd of Denver, CO, and Brayden Stroud of Dallas, TX. She also leaves behind her brother, Joe Hayes of Fletcher, OK, and many extended family members and friends.
