Michael Dahl

Michael Anthony Dahl, 59, passed away on Wednesday, October 29, 2025 in Stillwater surrounded by his family. He was born January 23, 1966 in Fort Meade, Maryland to Robert and Josephine (Montenguies) Dahl. He lived a life defined by devotion to his family, to his country, and to the things that brought him peace.

Michael proudly served in the United States Marine Corps for more than twelve years, rising to the rank of sergeant (E-5). As an 0311 Rifleman, he served with courage and commitment, closing his military career with the 1st Battalion, 7th Marines. His service earned him numerous honors, including the Good Conduct Medal, the Navy Achievement Medal, the Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, and several commendations recognizing his leadership and dedication.

Mike and Jeanne Stider were married February 1, 2002 in Stillwater where they made their home and resided until his passing. Mike was currently employed with Walmart where he took great pride in his job. He will be greatly missed.

Away from the military, Mike found joy in the simple and grounding things: hunting, fishing, and collecting coins. He had a quiet appreciation for the outdoors and a deep love for the traditions and memories those hobbies helped build. He was the kind of man who listened more than he spoke, who paid attention to the details that mattered, and who loved deeply and without hesitation.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Jeanne (Strider) Dahal; daughter, Kodee Dahl of Newark, Ohio; son, Jagger Dahl of Bratenahl, Ohio; brother, Robdert D. Dahl (Tom ) of Hampton, Virginia; sister, Mianne V. Frazier of Rudy, Arkansas; Nieces, Amber Householder ((Robert), Jenna Wells, and Emily Strider; nephews, James Frazier, Brady Wells, Kalan Wells, Chaz Strider, Cody Strider, and Logan Strider; several great nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.

Visitation will be 3PM until 8PM Wednesday, November 5, 2025 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. Family will great guest from 3PM to 5PM. A Celebration of Mike’s life will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at 2PM at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Stillwater. Interment will follow at Fairlawn Cemetery in Stillwater.
