Michelle Rae Johnson-Sweeny

Michelle Rae Johnson-Sweeny, 48, passed away on Saturday, August 27, 2022, at her home in Stillwater surrounded by family. A celebration of life party will be held for her Stillwater family and friends Thursday, September 1, 2022, from 4-6pm at Maison on Main 132 South Main Street, Stillwater, Ok 74074. Dighton Marler Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Michelle Johnson-Sweeny was born on March 11,1974 in Kenmare, North Dakota to David and Debbie Johnson. Michelle grew up in North Dakota, Arizona, Georgia, and California and graduated from Imperial High School in Imperial California in 1992. Michelle graduated with an accounting degree from Tarrant County Junior College in 1995 where she also won numerous awards for her artwork and pen and ink drawings. Michelle started her career with Walmart in 1995 in accounting working her way to Assistant Manager and piloting the grocery home shopping experience at her store in Bedford, TX. Michelle retired in 2019 as a Wal-Mart Academy Manager. Michelle resided in Bedford Texas and moved to Stillwater Oklahoma upon her retirement. She was an artist and foodie and loved all animals, especially her dogs Daisy, Marley Bear, Lola, Paisley, Presley, and Finley.
She is survived by her spouse Dawn Johnson-Sweeny of Stillwater, her parents David and Debbie Johnson of Euless, TX, her sister Holly Capps of Roanoke, TX. Her best friend Lynnette Corwin of Fort Worth, TX. Her Aunts and Uncles Marguerite and Wayne Grindy, Mona and Lance Granrud, Donna and Floyd Peterson, Lorraine Stewart, Lori and Louie Gonzales, Teresa and Mark Feeney, Terri and Jamie Johnson. Her nieces Margie and Suzy and Zoe. Nephews Cody, Eric, Levi, Jake, Lane, Brennin, Harley, Logan, Matthew, and Hunter.
