Neomi Perales Ruiz, a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, passed away peacefully on May 23, 2025, in Stillwater, Oklahoma, surrounded by her loving family. Born on August 16, 1990, in Center, Texas, Neomi radiated joy and warmth throughout her life, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.
Neomi spent her career in the food industry, showcasing her passion for creating delightful meals and experiences that brought people together. Her love for the kitchen was matched only by the bright, beautiful smile she wore, a trademark of her kind-hearted personality. Neomi had an innate ability to make everyone feel welcomed, infusing moments with her generous spirit and genuine love.
A proud graduate of Stillwater High School in 2008, Neomi cherished her education and the friendships she built during those formative years. Throughout her life, she remained committed to her faith, being a devoted member of First Baptist Church. Her unwavering faith in God provided her with strength, guiding her through life’s joys and challenges alike. Neomi's connection to her faith was deeply intertwined with her love of singing, and she could often be found gracing the church with her wonderful voice, uplifting others through her music.
Neomi was particularly fond of her family, and her nieces, whom she affectionately called her “babies,” brought her immense happiness. She loved finding small gifts for them, a testament to her generous heart and loving nature. Neomi always cherished the time spent with her family, creating precious memories that they will hold dear forever.
She is survived by her loving mother, Catalina Ruiz De Perales; her caring sister, Nancy Word (William), and her devoted sister, Martina Mora (Jose Mora). Her bright spirit will live on in the smiles of her nieces, Greenlee Word and Ester Word, and in the heart of her grandmother, Porfiria Perales.
Neomi is greeted in eternity by her father, Felipe Perales; her sister, Cecilia Perales; her grandmother, Maria Santos Ruiz; her grandfather, Pablo Perales; her cousin, Rolando Perales; and her aunts and uncle, Maria Perales, Teresa Perales, and Abel Ruiz. Their reunion brings comfort in knowing that her light shines on in a place free from pain.
Visitation and funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church located at 701 S. Duncan St., Stillwater, OK, on May 31, 2025. The visitation will begin at 9:00 AM and will be followed by the funeral service at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest beside her father at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Stillwater.
Neomi Perales Ruiz’s legacy of kindness, love, and unwavering faith will forever resonate in the hearts of those she touched. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will continue to inspire all who strive to make the world a better place.
