Pamelia Kaye (Hartzmann) Bier, age 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 13, 2026, in Newnan, Georgia.
Pamelia was born April 22, 1952 in Colorado and raised in Center City, Minnesota. She later made her home in Perry, Oklahoma where she spent much of her adult life. She began her career with the Perry Daily Journal as a newspaper carrier and, through dedication and hard work, advanced to become a manager of that department. During her years in Perry, she was an active and proud member of the Ellis Jirous American Legion Post 53 where she built lasting friendships and contributed to her community.
In her retirement, Pamelia found joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved reading, attending church and Bible study, and spending time tending to her garden. Throughout her life, Pamelia also adopted numerous dogs out of shelters and was a loving pet parent. She will be remembered for her quiet strength, her faith, and her devotion to her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sons, John and Lester; her siblings, Wayne, Kevin, Leo, and Ruth; her parents, Ruby and Lester Hartzmann; and her former husband, Ervin C. Bier.
Pamelia is survived by her sons, Ervin (his wife Joie) D. Bier of Locust Grove, Georgia, and Brian (his wife Rebecca) Bier of Mounds, Oklahoma; as well as her ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren, in addition to numerous other relatives and many friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Graveside services are scheduled for 11AM Monday, April 20, 2026 at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry followed by a reception at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Perry. Visitation will be 2PM to 6PM Sunday, April 19, 2026 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, Perry.
