Ron Rakes

Winford R. "Ron" Rakes passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025 at Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa after a brief illness.

Ron was born November 1, 1949 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Gladys Belle (Fagan) and Montague Rakes.

He attended Perkins school where he graduated with the class of 1967. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1968. During his enlistment he served two tours in Vietnam.

Ron eventually settled in the Stillwater area with wife, Susie and daughter Angela. Ron loved the financial business and was senior VP at Stillwater National Bank for several years.

Ron later married Debi Anderson in Breckenridge, Colorado. Together they owned and operated a mortgage company in multiple states.

He enjoyed hiking in the mountains, playing golf, riding harley's, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by wife, Debi; daughters, Summer Anderson (Dr J. Bryan Harris), GraceAnna Day (Spencer), and Angela Stayton (Scott); and 8 Grandchildren. Ron had many friends which will miss him dearly.
