Ropyr Bennett Strickland August 7, 2025 – Born into Heaven August 5, 2025

With deepest love and immeasurable sorrow, we announce the birth of our precious son, Ropyr Bennett Strickland, who was delivered into the arms of Jesus on August 7, 2025, at OSU Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Ropyr’s heart stopped unexpectedly in the womb on August 5, 2025, just days before we were to hold him in our arms.

Cherished son of Jacob Michael Strickland and Gloria Noel Strickland, Ropyr was deeply loved from the very moment we knew of his existence. His life, though brief, was filled with joy, hope, and anticipation. He brought laughter when he kicked his mother during Catholic Mass or in response to her delicious cooking. His father eagerly awaited the days of sharing curious facts, science experiments, OSU football games, and hunting trips. His mother’s heart was ready to nurture and watch him grow, to see the little rascal he was sure to become.

Ropyr is also deeply loved by his grandparents William Ryan Strickland and Lauren Christine Strickland, and Arthur Glenn Lovett and Tammy Lynn Lovett; great-grandmother Gaye Gabrielle Dalton; his aunts and uncles Abigail Michelle Strickland, William Matthew Strickland, Andrew Charlie Strickland, Bella Mae Lovett, and Triston Glenn Lovett; and by countless extended family and friends who prayed for and celebrated his life throughout the pregnancy.

Though his time on earth was short, Ropyr’s life was a reminder of the words in the Lord’s Prayer: “Thy will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven.” We trust that he is now surrounded by peace and love in the presence of our Lord.
