Roy Lou Courtright

Roy L. Courtright passed away May 7 in Morrison. He was born to Roy B. and Ruby (Hickman) Courtright on Sept. 30, 1929, in Mehan. Roy graduated from Ripley High School in 1947. He joined the United States Air Force in September 1950 serving in the Korean conflict. Roy was honorably discharged in 1954. Roy was a truck driver for many years. Upon retiring, he loved to watch all kinds of sports, including watching family members in sport competitions. Roy is preceded in death by his parents, sister Alice (Henry) LaPointe of Calif., and two nieces, Donna Brookes and Velva Emerson. Survivors include sisters Leola (Jack) Kelley of Morristown, Ariz., Nancy (Vernon) Holba of Morrison, and several nieces and nephews. Roy has requested no services.
