Taneesia Lanelle Tucker

Taneesia Lanelle Tucker was born on October 23, 1982, in Drumright, Oklahoma, to Leonard Walter Tucker Jr. and Doris Burton. She was lovingly raised by her grandparents Leonard Tucker Sr. and Alice Tucker, who nurtured her in the admonition of Christ, instilling in her a strong faith, deep love, and, in her own special way, what it meant to be “spoiled.” She developed a unique ability to get exactly what she wanted—often convincing others to give her the last slice of cake, the front seat, and sometimes even the “last word.”

She attended Cushing Public Schools and graduated from Cushing High School in the Class of 2001. After high school, she enrolled at Langston University, where she attended several semesters before relocating to Missouri to begin a new chapter in her life.

In Missouri, she built a life that led to her marriage to Eric Leakey. From this union, she was blessed with her two most treasured gifts, Porter Clay and Jurnie Clarice, who were truly the heart and soul of her being. Taneesia dedicated much of her professional life to retail, beginning her career at Apple Market. She later joined QuikTrip Corporation, where she worked in the distribution warehouse for over seven years.

She leaves behind a legacy of love through her fiancé, Reuben Farmer; children, Porter and Jurnie; her parents, Leonard Tucker Jr. and Doris Burton; and her five siblings: Clifford Tucker (Regina), Christie Johnson (Rick), Sheba Tucker (Ron), Andre Tucker, and Scottie Harris. And a host of nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends who will forever carry her spirit in their hearts. Though our hearts are heavy, we celebrate the beautiful memories and the life she lived—full of love, laughter, and light—none of which will ever fade.
