Thomas “Tommy” Johnson, 91, passed away on May 14, 2026. Tommy was born in Waukomis, Oklahoma, to James and Mary (O'Donnell) Johnson. He attended and graduated from Sumner Schools. He married Louise Grim, and together they built a life centered around family, hard work, and community.

Tommy and Louise owned and operated the Dan-D-Motel in Perry, Oklahoma, where they spent many years serving travelers and building lasting friendships. Tommy was an avid gardener, enjoyed playing pitch, and was a devoted fan of University of Oklahoma sports. He especially loved time spent with family and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Johnson; his parents, James and Mary Johnson; and his sisters, Anna Jane Lesh, Evelyn Chestnutt, and Elane Johnson.

He is survived by his son, Rick Johnson and wife Kerri of Edmond, Oklahoma; daughter, Glenda Rogers and husband Stephen of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Rich Johnson and wife Lauren of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Stephenie Rogers of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Merri Barden and husband Dustin of Edmond, Oklahoma; and great-grandchildren, Aubrey McVicker of Norman, Oklahoma, Reagan Willis of Edmond, Oklahoma, and Lucy Barden of Edmond, Oklahoma.

Private family services will be held at Grace Hill Cemetery in Perry.

A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 22, 2026 at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home in Perry from 4PM until 8PM.
