Perry, Oklahoma

Thomas “Tommy” Edward Jack, of Perry, Oklahoma, passed away on December 24, 2025, at the VA Hospital in Oklahoma City after a courageous battle with Choleanigo Carcinoma. He was born at home in Orlando, Oklahoma, to Arthur Theodore Jack and Eleanor Lou (Hurst) Jack.

Tommy grew up in Orlando and graduated from Orlando High School in 1963. During his school years, he enjoyed playing basketball and spending time with siblings and friends, often playing cowboys and Indians. His childhood was full of memorable moments, including the time he mistook a neighbor’s milk cow for a lion and his playful sparring with his sister Shirley. These stories reflect his adventurous spirit and loving nature, qualities that stayed with him throughout his life.

After graduation, Tommy worked in the oil fields before being drafted into the U.S. Army on November 21, 1966. He served honorably in the Vietnam War and retired with disabilities on February 11, 1969, holding the rank of Specialist Fourth Class. His bravery earned him two Purple Hearts with Oak Leaf Cluster and several other military awards. Following his military service, Tommy married his beloved wife, Kathy, and returned to work in the oil fields, later assisting local farmers with their operations.

Tommy’s greatest joy was his family. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Jack; daughters Dee Bay (Michael), Becky Miller (Gerald), Tammy Vance, and Jaylynn Malcolm; sons Larry Hoggatt and Jacksen Williams; sister Shirley Marie (Jack) Marquardt; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Arthur Theodore Jack Jr., Kenneth Lee Jack, and Richard Alan Jack; sister Betty Lou (Jack) Flower; son Jim Hoggatt; and granddaughter Christian Paige Vance.

Tommy will be remembered for his unwavering love, dedication, and generosity toward his family and friends. His life was a testament to resilience, service, and compassion.
