William Robert Scott

William “Billy Bob" Scott passed away at his home the evening of March 12, 2024, surrounded by his family. At a later date, a gathering will be scheduled for friends and family.

Billy Bob was born February 12, 1943, in Hoisington, Kansas to Raymon and Pauline (Hoskinson) Scott. He grew up in Hoisington and graduated in 1961 from Hoisington High School. In 1968 he moved with his mom and dad to Covington, Oklahoma. He met multiple friends and the majority of his family lived in Covington.

In 1982, he married Etta Werner Stanley and they moved to the country outside of Perry, Oklahoma. Billy Bob worked for the oil field for a number of years, then at the Co-Op from which he retired. Billy Bob loved to fish and hunt. He also enjoyed spending time with the grandkids and great grandkids.

Billy Bob is survived by his wife, Etta, of the home; three step-children: Terry Ronald Stanley, Covington; LeEtta Tilson, Milford, Kansas, and LaRhonda Elliott, Perry, Oklahoma; three grandchildren: Cassie Dale, Santana Keller and Donovan Elliott, all of Perry; eight great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and two brothers: Jack Scott, Crescent, and Dean Scott, Hoisington, Kansas; and multiple nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymon and Pauline Scott; sister, Gloria Ann; and brothers, Roy and Kent Scott.

Dighton-Marler Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements. Memorials in his honor may be made to Rock Township Rural Fire Department, in care of Dighton-Marler Funeral Home, P. O. Box 189, Perry, Oklahoma 73077.
